‘Oh my God’ Director’s Note

Zee Limelight is ready with its latest production Oh My God! The feel good comedy is scheduled for release on December 5. The movie is directed by debutant Sourabh Srivastava who shares with us his views on the movie.

Director’s Note: 'Oh my God’ is a film about a common man, his aspirations, his desires and his needs. It is a story of the line of balance that we choose to cross in an attempt to pursue our ambitions. Rajendra Dubey represents the youths of today, who want to make it big in life through the right means. However, little to we realise that a lot of things in life are not in our control and the way we identify our opportunities in those circumstances is what makes us the people we are.

God is personal to everyone. He could be a father figure to some and a friend/guide to others. Since my childhood, I used to question the concept of the traditional God and finally realised that God is what you perceive him to be. I used to wonder what God would be thinking, when he looks at us and realised that there is really no correct answer to this question.

Directing ‘Oh my God’ was an experience that has changed my life in many ways. When I initially came up with the concept of the film, little has I realised that the final product would change my understanding of life.

‘Oh my God’ is my vision about how God perceives human life; his strengths, his limitations, his unique ways and most importantly his selfless love for all his beings!

As part of the film’s promotional campaign Zee Limelight has developed a unique contest. All one has to do is log on to www.zeemotionpictures.com/ohmygod and share an interesting incident that made them say, ‘Oh my God’. The winners of the contest stand a chance to win free tickets for the movie.
