Fun Cinemas, a pioneer in the cinema exhibition and entertainment space in India, has now set up a multiplex in Karnal after capturing the market in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and many other cities. Located at Harsha K3C Mall, Sector 12, the cinema was inaugurated with the release of the most awaited film of the year ‘Fashion’. The multiplex has three screens with a total seating capacity of 735 seats.
“Built over an area of 22000 sq ft, this Fun Cinemas is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology and three way surround sound system. The auditorium seating arrangement offers different options to choose from – the Gold Class and the Silver Class, to suit individual preferences and budgets,” Chief Operating Officer Vishal Kapur said.
Fun Cinemas has registered a tremendous growth, having expanded to 63 screens. It has entered new markets like Chandigarh, Panipat, Jaipur, Gulbarga, Agra and Lucknow ahead of its peers and will keep the same trend in Punjab and Haryana. With an exceptional food and beverage offering, facilities like servic-on–seat and online ticket booking, the idea is to provide filmgoers in Karnal a comfortable and cutting-edge viewing experience.
“We plan to expand and explore more opportunities in tier II and tier III cities in India and capture 15 per cent market share of the exhibition industry by 2011. Besides Karnal, we are also planning to enter other cities like Bhatinda, Baddi, Amritsar and Ludhiana in the same region,” Kapur said.
