As a part of Children’s Day celebrations Kidzee initiated the ‘reach the un-reached’ programme for under privileged children. This initiative was an attempt to imbibe the thoughts of caring and sharing in the children of Kidzee.

Apart from this, another initiative called, ‘Gift a smile’ was planned at an all India level specifically targeting the cities of Mumbai, Nasik, Ahmednagar, Baroda, Aurangabad, Kolkatta, Patna, Bilaspur, Indore and Lucknow.

While children at Kidzee centres across India gifted their own toys and books to underprivileged children. There was an itinerary specifically planned for the day, where Kidzee children spent time with under privileged children, sharing food, playing games and learning rhymes. The aim was to foster tolerance and sharing amongst children.

The Management team led by ZILS CEO Sumeet Mehta in Mumbai conducted an interaction session with games and activities to highlight the importance of sharing and team spirit. The management team of Kidzee visited the Gandhi Sikshan Bhawan at Juhu and interacted with children from all age groups starting from pre-primary to class VIII. Age appropriate activities were held for students across all age groups. This meant interactive games which helped foster team spirit for secondary students like – Dumb charades and ‘Blind folded race’. Individual and group activities were held for primary students like Art quilt and Art wall where students were given free reins to their imaginations and create designs according to their wish.

At the end of the activities, the children were given a return gift of a set of crayons and a drawing book which would serve as a reminder to the children to use their creativity and imagination.

Mehta stressing on the importance of this activity said, “Kidzee is the number one chain of pre-schools in India, it is a crucible where the future of the country is nurtured. Since early childhood experiences shape a person’s outlook for life, we want to create positive and inclusive experiences for children. We believe that a culture of giving and caring will create a more inclusive society in our country.”
