Unique show on Zee Kannada

Zee Kannada launched a unique game show  ‘Daddy No. 1’  on November 10. The show celebrates the relationship between the father and child.

Zee Kannada launched a unique game show ‘Daddy No. 1’ on November 10. The show, the first of its kind in the Indian television industry, celebrates the relentless relationship between the father and child. It will be telecast Monday to Thursday at 9 pm.

Along with showcasing the tender relationship between the father and child, the show also is a complete entertainer with various games and acts to test the fathers’ intelligence, dexterity, strength and smartness. The show is hosted by popular television artiste Rajesh. The children participating in the show are in the age group of 7 to 12 years. Already, 112 teams have been selected through auditions.  

During the first few episodes of preliminary rounds, four teams will participate in every episode and one team each will move to the quarter finals. Similarly the teams that get selected from the quarter finals move to the semi finals and eventually there will be four teams participating in the finals and vying for the title of ‘Karnataka’s No.1 Daddy.’

Zee Kannada Head of Non-Fiction Programming Vaishnavi H.S. said, “More often than not, the mother is given credit and importance when it comes to a parent-child relation, but one often tends to undermine the role of a father, so much so that, most of the television programming is also skewed towards the lady of the house and concentrates on her involvement. It is this fact that prompted us to take a look at this wonderful father-child relation and make it more fun and exciting in the form of a game show,”

Zee Kannada Business Head Anup Chandrasekharan added, “With a fantabulous set and the look and feel close to that of international standards, this show is definitely going to mark the beginning of a new era for game shows in India.”
