Zee Kannada’s Daddy No 1 tops charts
Zee Kannada’s game show Daddy No.1 is topping charts within just a week of its launch. The show has opened with an average TVR of 3.08 and a relative share of 27 per cent.
South India’s biggest game show Tata Indicom Daddy No 1 on Zee Kannada was launched on November 10, with very good publicity, promotions and hype.
The show strategically slotted at the most competitive time band on prime time 9 pm, has delivered against all odds. Despite severe competition from long running shows on other channels, severe power cuts, this all new genre programme has come as a welcome break from mundane soaps. Daddy No.1 opened with an Avg TVR of 3.08 and a relative share of 27 per cent making it the second best in the 9 pm to 10 pm time band. The show has already touched a high of 4.13 TVR.
Along with showcasing the tender relationship between a father and a child, the show also is a complete entertainer with various games and acts to test the fathers’ intelligence, dexterity, strength and smartness.
The show hosted by popular television artiste Rajesh, is for fathers and their children who are in the age group of 7 – 12 yrs. In all, 112 teams have been selected through auditions. During the first few episodes of preliminary rounds, four teams will participate in every episode and one team each will move to the quarter finals.
As a result of this, Zee Kannada has once again become the No 2 Kannada GEC in Karnataka. Although there was an overall drop in the total GRPs for Week 46, Zee Kannada is the only Kannada GEC that gained and moved to the No 2 position with 211 GRPs, followed by ETV Kannada at 206 GRPs.
