Ashok Goel

Ashok Goel has been associated with Essel Propack since 1984 and is currently the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the company. Goel has been instrumental in establishing Essel Propack as a global player in laminated tubes. Today, Essel Propack is ranked no. 1 in laminated tubes in the world.

Goel was also responsible in Essel Propack’s foray into plastic tubes arena, medical devices and specialty packaging materials. The company has operations in 15 countries- USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, UK, Germany, Russia, Poland, Egypt, India, Nepal, China, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore through 26 plants. He has successfully integrated a complex and diverse range of technologies and processes and achieved operational efficiencies and reduction in the overall costs.

In 2006, Goel led Essel Propack's foray into the medical devices business, by acquiring a US-based company Tacpro Inc. and a Singapore based company Avalon Medical Services. Later that year, he spearheaded the company’s entry into specialty packaging materials by acquiring Packaging India, the third largest manufacturer of specialty packaging materials in India.

Goel was President of Organisation of Plastic Processors of India in 2004. In July 2005, he was rated among ‘one of the 25 truly world class managers from India, after an in-depth research by the publication The Smart Manager.
