"I thoroughly enjoyed hosting the first season of Northern Flavours and the overwhelming response from viewers. As a true-blue Punjabi, I had a great time researching about dishes that are centuries old. It was truly fascinating to learn about the myriad global influences on the cuisine of Northern India - from the Mongols of Central Asia to the Chinese, as a part of the Silk Route. Deeply influenced by martial traditions and travel, it was an overwhelming and enriching experience. All these diverse traditions have been preserved by cooks and homemakers over centuries. I look forward to bringing the earthy flavours from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Delhi to viewers, with a 'double tadka'", says an enthusiastic Chef Ajay Chopra.
