Essel Infra announces the successful commissioning of its flagship Waste to Energy plant in Jabalpur!

We are extremely happy to announce the successful commissioning of our 11.5 MW waste to energy (WTE) plant in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This is a huge milestone in our journey towards transforming the quality of lives of our people. The MSW Jabalpur WTE plant is a first-of its-kind project to be implemented in India.Â

About the Jabalpur MSW Plant
The Jabalpur MSW Private Limited (JMPL) is an award-winning project that deploys Hitachi Zosen's customized thermal waste processing solution. It will generate 11.5 MW energy by recycling 600 tons of municipal solid waste per day and reducing over 37,000 tons of carbon emission for Jabalpur annually.
The Jabalpur MSW Plant can process up to 600 tons of waste per day. The Grate Combustion System deployed is the best waste treatment technology in the world with regards to environment friendliness, operating reliability, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. The other salient features include Flue Gas Treatment and water and ash treatment, which ensures that all the waste generates as part of the processes are also treated before emission. The emissions are at par with European standards which are more environment friendly as compared to SWM Rule Book 2016.

The pollution control levels achieved by this technology are as per European standards with a focus on saving energy and increasing efficiency while limiting the impact on the environment. It also aims at reducing the costs incurred for the disposal of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).
