Jashn-e-Azadi on Zee Punjabi
The patriotic spirit, the tri-colour, celebration and wishful thinking for our motherland was all presented on Zee Punjabi to commemorate 64th Independence Day on 15th August'10. Saluting the spirit of the day, Zee Punjabi dedicated two special programmes: 'Sarhad Te Jashn-e-Azaadi' and 'Salaam Hindustan'.
'Sarhad Te Jashn-e-Azaadi' - Saluting the sacrifices & selfless services of our Border Security Forces in protecting us during eventualities of war, crisis and turmoil internal or external, a 1hr informal interactive event with BSF personnel at Wagah, the Indo-Pak Border at Amritsar was presented at 7.00 pm. The event was graced by Dolly Singh, the star singer of the latest chart buster 'Chur-Chur' among others. A unique mlange of stand up comedian Mukesh Vohra and 'Pindan Vichon Pind' host Baljeet Kaur Johal coordinated the show that enthrall the special viewers with enthusiastic participation by BSF personnel exhibiting their joys, ethos, experiences through their talented performances and interaction with the guest artists/anchors.
'Salaam Hindustan' In a very vocal and different kind of a format this was another special programme where Zee Khabran team moved around the land of five rivers along with our own 67-year-old record freak Guinness Rishi the Human Flag Pole. During the programme telecast at 11.00am, the latest perspective of Independence for a common man was also aired by speaking to people from every age groups, sex, strata and backgrounds. With debates, vivid ideas and different perspectives on Independence, it was the part of a sleekly knit report adding colors with few hilarious skits, talks and patriotic songs.
