'Mitti Di Mehak' brings heritage flavours on Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal

A rich religious and cultural heritage makes the land of five rivers a state Punjabis feel proud of. Sikhism, Islam and Hinduism flourished in this land and enriched it with spiritual wisdom and religious values. Royal palaces, historic battle sites, shrines, temples, Sikh architecture and even dilapidated monuments dot the landscape of this cradle of civilization and are the marks of the era when various dynasties ruled and inhabited it, once upon a time.

'Mitti Di Mehak' on Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal will visit these landmarks across the state with an attempt to bring back the nostalgia of the era gone by.

“The show is telecast in southeast Asia, USA and UK on network channels so it will be a special treat for Punjabi NRIs or Punjabis living away from their home” says Sanjay Vohra, Editor, Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal, “as it will re-introduce them to the rich history of Punjab and open up a window of memories of the native places they belong to respectively” he concludes.

Dr. Balvinder a researcher himself, who anchors the show, will visit villages and cities of historical importance across the state.

Besides focussing on heritage landmarks the show would also bring alive various styles of folk singing, folk dancing, a variety of folk musical instruments, Phulkaari, pottery and other handicrafts of Punjab and many other art forms which are being overshadowed by the waves of modernization.

In a nutshell 'Mitti Di Mehak' will open up a window on Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal to expose viewers to the flavours of rich art, culture and heritage of Punjab which is going to engage, educate and entertain them for sure.

So stay tuned to revisit your roots every Saturday at 7.30 PM only on Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal.
