Mumbai FC takes on Churchill Brothers!

Mumbai FC hunting for their fourth consecutive win in the league will face a formidable opposition as they take on the Churchill Bros. After the first 3 rounds Mumbai FC are sitting pretty at 3rd spot on the table with 3 wins on the other hand Churchill are not far behind, they are 5th with two draws and a win.

Churchill picking up momentum

After draws with Dempo and JCT, Churchill Bros. inflected a humiliating 2-0 defeat on Mohun Bagan which forced the Mohun Bagan (coach) to resign. Churchill Talisman Odafa Okolie has found the back of the net 4 times already this season and is looking deadlier with every progressing match.

Missing links in Mumbai FC

Mumbai FC will be missing the key services of defender Anas Edathodika and winger S Kutty Mani as both of them have been suspended due to double booking. “We will surely miss them in the lineup but we have good bench strength, hence will not compromise”, says Khalid Jamil. Faizal Rehman is only replacement summoned from Mumbai FC.

I-League History

Both the teams have met four times before. Churchill has the bragging rights with a slight advantage with one win and three draws. “Past results do not mean anything this is a new year and a new season. We have a good start and we are not satisfied only with that. We are looking for all three from this one as well. The key will be to defend well and score from the opportunities we create”, said a confident Coach Khalid.

The game will be decided basis Mumbai FC's ability to score against the Churchill's resistance and to defend the big threat form Churchill's Odafa Okolie.

Cheer for Mumbai FC!
