Mumbai FC to conduct Grassroots Leaders Course with WIFA and Grassroots Festival with MDFA

Mumbai FC alongwith Western India Football Association (WIFA), under its Grassroots Development Program, will organize Grassroots Leaders Course followed by Grassroots Festivals from 15th to 17th May 2015 at Cooperage, Mumbai to celebrate AFC Grassroots Day.
 
WIFA's CEO, Henry Menezes expects the course to be a grand success as he said, "Such Leaders courses and Grassroots Festivals brings more and more people to engage themselves with the game. Not only does it develop football in the country but it also helps Indian Football become more and more popular."
 
30 Grassroots Leaders will be registering for this course and will be conducted by qualified Grassroots Instructors.
     
Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) will also celebrate Grassroots Festivals across Mumbai one of which will be conducted with Mumbai FC at St. Xavier's MDFA Ground, Parel on Saturday, 16th May 2015.
 
Over 200 kids of the age group 6 to 12 years will be participating in the Fest under the guidance of 15 Grassroots coaches.
 
"Mumbai FC have been conducting Grassroots Festival across the city. It is important to give the children football education. Not only does it help raise football's popularity but it sets a base to maybe even carve a career out of football. We aim to create 'Young-stars' in Indian football," explained Kundan Chandra, Mumbai FC's Head of Youth Development.
