Mumbai FC played their second game of the under-18 I-League, going on to beat local rivals Kenkre FC handsomely. Mumbai had a poor start to their U18 I-League campaign with a 12-0 away loss to DSK in Pune. The boys looked determined to overturn the results as they started the game on offensive from the very first whistle.

Mumbai FC started brighter of the two sides and took only 10 minutes to register the first shot on target. The flow of football was largely controlled by Mumbai throughout the first half. In the middle of the first half, Mumbai got a foul outside the box. Kartik Yenurkar stood up to the task and scored a screamer from 30 yards out. It was the defenders first goal for Mumbai.

From then on, there was no looking back as the boys outplayed their opponents. The commitment was higher, the intent stronger as the Mumbai colts continued to press the Kenkre defense. Most of the play was in the Kenkre half with many chances for the boys in yellow. Mumbai FC U18 doubled in the 65'th minute with some help from the Kenkre defense. Vineel Poojary sent in a flat cross from the left wing for forward Rakesh Karmaran to tuck in towards goal. Even after going 2-0 up the boys pressed on relentlessly looking for more goals.

The game ended with Mumbai U18 picking up first three points of the season.
