myPOPKORN.com’s marketing campaign
myPOPKORN.com recently
organised a campaign to serve as a platform to the audience to showcase talent in a variety of fields. The campaign part of a ten city tour began in Pune.
‘Upload Karo Kismat Badlo’, a campaign from myPOPKORN.com which serves as a platform to the audience at large to showcase their talents in any field ranging from singing and dancing to painting others began its ten city tour from Pune on August 30, 2008.
The crowd Pune Central – 1 and SGS Magnum mall was surprised to witness the never before talent and entertainment centric event right in the atriums of their favorite shopping malls.
The event received a remarkable response with over 400 performances staged by voluntary participants in every field of entertainment. People who could not perform at the venue handed over recorded CDs to be uploaded on myPOPKORN.com. Age being no barrier, the audience enjoyed performances ranging from a two year old child singing to children painting live portraits in mere 15 minutes to a 50 year old enlightening the stage with olden days melodious songs.
An Ahmedabad based group rendered Sufi music, while other events included a fashion show and dance performance. Zee TV was an event partner. SaReGaMa contestants also participated in the event.
'Upload karo kismet badlo' is the second phase of the marketing activity by myPOPKORN.com. The first phase of the campaign, targeted only internet media and managed to reach the top 3000 sites of the world. MyPOPKORN is now one of the top video sites of the country. With the second phase of the campaign, the aim is to address the youth of the country who are skewed towards internet. The purpose of this activity is to establish a ground connect.
