DishTV has launched a ‘happy home pack,’ with which viewers can now enjoy 125 channels at a marginal cost of Rs 100. At an initial offer of Rs 1990, subscribers can now take home a set top box with Dish antenna and enjoy 12 months of subscription absolutely free.

DishTV recently announced the launch of ‘Happy Home Pack’ at never before value of just Rs 100, making digital television more affordable. DishTV ‘Happy Home Pack’ is customised to offer the best in entertainment in all genres such as General Entertainment Channels, Sports, Business, News, Movies and break free cinema. This pack also provides regional channels in eight different languages.

DishTV has also announced that at an initial price of Rs. 1990, the subscribers will take home the set top box along with Dish antenna and can enjoy 12 months subscription of the ‘Happy Home pack’ (125 channels) absolutely free.

"Our offer is in line with our overall target of acquiring five million DTH subscribers by March 31, 2009. At Rs 100 per month, we are offering the largest bouquet of channels — something for everyone in the Home. This will help us speed up the subscriber acquisitions. Now owning a DTH will become more affordable for the consumers. We have reduced the entry-level price of monthly subscriptions on DTH platform to Rs 100, which is very competitive with the existing monthly charges paid by consumers to their local cable operators,”  DishTV CEO Vinay Aggarwal stated.

Four add on packs are also provided free to the subscribers which include Cartoon Network and Pogo for Children, English Movies Channels - HBO, Zee Studio, Zee Cafe, and three break free Hindi cinema channels – Zee Premiere, Zee Action, Zee Classic, and Sports channels - Ten Sports and Zee Sports. The add-on packs are provided free for three months.

Happy Home pack offers the largest number of channels across all genres such as General Entertainment Channels (9X, NDTV Imagine, Sahara One, Zee TV and Zee Next), Movies (Filmy, Zee Cinema), News (AAJ TAK, NDTV India, Zee News), Music Channels (9XM, ETC, Music India and Zee Music), Business (Zee Business) and Religious channel (Astha). The new pack also includes 21 audio channels and 11 value added services for the subscribers. ‘Happy Home Pack’ caters to entertainment needs of all the members of the family in all age groups. The installation charges of Rs 200 extra.
