The rise and rise of Zee Kannada

Zee Kannada continues to cruise ahead of ETV Kannada, Kasturi and Suvarna to consolidate its No 2 position.

This week brought more cheer to Zee Kannada as its rating rose to 270 GRPs, with a relative share of 12 per cent, beating ETV Kannada at 265 GRPs. Zee Kannada has now firmly established itself as the No 2 GEC in the Karnataka market.

This growth was fuelled by a strong line-up of programmes for Ganesha Chaturthi topped by the film  'Snehana Preethina'  staring popular actor Darshan, which recorded 4.62 TVR; and the animated treat 'Siddhi Vinayaka'.

Weekday properties Gunagaana (1.25 Avg.TVR) and Komedy Kilaadigalu (2.4 Avg. TVR) are also making a dent in the prime time, paving the way for an increased viewer base for upcoming fiction properties.

On weekends Zee Kannada continues to have the highest relative share among Kannada GECs in prime time with its key shows Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa and Kuniyonu Baara. With this boost, the Zee Kannada team continues on its road to bigger successes with renewed vigour.
