Janmashtami with Darsheel Safary

Zee Cinema celebrated Janmashtami with child star Darsheel Safary. There was a Dahi Handi competition organised by the channel called, ‘Darsheel Aala Re.’

Zee Cinema held celebrations on the auspicious birth of Lord Krishna in a unique way. Darsheel Safary of Tare Zameen Par fame alongwith the winners of ‘Din Mein Taare Gino’ contest celebrated the occasion with their enthusiastic participation in the Dahi Handi organised by the channel. Darsheel Aala Re, a special half an hour episode shot by Zee Cinema with these winners, was telecast over the weekend.

Zee Cinema Business Head Mohan Gopinath said, “Initially we had decided only to facilitate a meet with Darsheel for the winners, but later looking at the encouraging response from the audience to the contest, we decided to shoot an entire episode with the winners. The theme of Dahi Handi was conceptualised keeping the festive season in mind.
