While handing over the machine, Shri Goenka requested the Municipal officials to keep a log sheet to maintain the working record of the machine and to carry out a timely analysis of the same.
The idea originated from the Essel Group Chairman, Dr Subhash Chandra who was once passing through the Hisar highway and witnessed a woman on Dabra Chowk who was cleaning the road and narrowly escaped from a moving truck. After seeing this, Dr Chandra decided that he would try to save the precious lives of sweeping employees and he donated the machine which is worth Rs 28 Lakh.
The automatic sweeping machine has a vacuum system which stores the dirt in the machine. There is brush-like equipment on both sides of the machine which is used to sweep the road. The automatic sweeping machine will help to clean big roads and streets, and it will be the responsibility of the Municipal sweeping employees to clean the narrow streets and small roads, where the machine cannot reach.
