Prior to joining Zee Telefilms Limited, Pradeep Guha was the President of The Times Group, a company where he started and built his career. Three decades spent in The Times and the media industry have not only honed his skills as an exemplary practitioner, but also as an astute leader with a finger on today's pulse and a bird's eye view on tomorrow trends. Over the years, he has ably led the sales and marketing function of the Times Group with geometrically progressive revenue growth in the last decade.

Guha has also spearheaded the Page 3 culture in India with the launch of Bombay Times, reengineered key brands like The Times of India, Filmfare and Femina, and revved up the glamour and entertainment industry by reinventing the Filmfare Awards and the Femina Miss India contest. Further, in his personal capacity, he has launched a film production company that produced the critically acclaimed Bollywood film, Fiza.

Pradeep Guha combines his formidable entertainment quotient with a deep involvement in the advertising and marketing industry as a whole, being afflicted in a crucial capacity with bodies like Indian Newspaper Society, National Readership Studies Council, Advertising Council of India and Advertising Club Bombay among others. He has also brought all his diverse skills together to helm Asia's largest biennial advertising Congress, Ad Asia 2003 that was held in Jaipur, India.

Zee News Limited (ZNL) touches the lives of millions of Indians through a cluster of news and regional entertainment channels. Its mission is to "inform, entertain and empower".

Specific channels operated by ZNL include Zee News, Zee Business, Zee Marathi, Zee Bangla, Zee Punjabi, Zee Gujarati, Zee Telugu, Zee Kannada and Zee 24 Taas, the first 24-hour Marathi news channel. 24 Ghanta, a 24-hour Bangla news channel is operated by a subsidiary company known as Zee Akaash News Private Limited.

Zee News, the news and current affairs channel, is the oldest channel of ZNL and has taken giant strides ever since its inception in 1992. It was the first 24-hour Hindi current affairs and news channel in the country. In spite of being the only pay channel in its genre, it maintains its position among the top three Hindi news channels in the country. In North India, Zee News is a strong contender for the number one position in the market. It has consistently won awards for its programming and marketing activities, including awards at the EMMVIES 2004, Indian Telly Awards and The Indian Marketing Awards.

Zee Business was launched in November 2004 and is rated as the number one Hindi business news channel. It has won the Consumer Award for the Best Business Hindi News Channel for the last two years.

Within a year of its launch, the daily has emerged as the second highest circulated English newspaper in Mumbai, and enjoys a readership of 4,02,000 (Indian Readership Survey 2006).

K U Rao K U Rao brings with him 23 years of work experience from markets in India, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe. He started his career as a Management Trainee at Philips India in 1983 and went on to become the Area Manager.

He then moved to Onida, where he was the General Manager (Sales) from 1988-1994. In 1994, he joined Royal Dutch/ Shell as a Regional Sales Manager (South) - Shell India, and later spearheaded key assignments in various countries.

He was Vice President - Commercial at Bharat Shell Ltd and General Manager of SASLUBCO (Saudi Arabian Markets and Shell Lubricants Co Ltd). His last posting was at London as Head of Global Sales for Shell Car Care, till his present appointment with DNA.
