Ten Sports to telecast Micromax Cup India

Ten Sports will be telecast three Test Match Micromax Cup between India and Sri Lanka LIVE and Exclusive starting July 18th 2010.� It will be the third Test series between the two nations in as many years . Sri Lanka won 2-1 at home in 2008 while India claimed the return series 2-0 last year to become the world number one Test side.

First Test Match of the Micromax Cup will be played at Galle International Stadium. After Galle the action shifts to Colombo where the second Test will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club from July 26 and the third test match will be played at the PS Sara Oval starting August 3, 2010. The matches will be telecast LIVE and Exclusive on Ten Sports.

Muttiah Muralitharan, the leading wicket-taker in Tests and ODIs, will retire from Test cricket after the first Test against India in Galle, which begins on July 18. Murali has taken 792 wickets in 132 Tests and 515 wickets in 337 ODIs. Galle will be an interesting shot at retiring with 800 Test wickets. Zaheer's absence due to shoulder injury will leave a lot of responsibility on the likes of Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth to carry the attack against Sri Lanka. Sachin will be returning to the International Cricket after a gap and will be firing from all corners to win the test series after a gap of 17 years.

Commenting on the live telecast of the series on Atul Pande CEO Ten Sports said, Ten Sports is committed to bringing the best of International Cricket to its viewers. Ten Sports will bring its viewers to witness some extravagant cricketing action during the series. The matches in the Series will also be tied with in-depth pre and post match analysis from experts in the cricketing space.

Ten Sports will be doing studio shows with renowned experts Charu Sharma, Arun Lal, Dean Jones and Sanath Jayasuriya. Tony Greig, Mike Haysman, Ranil Abeynaike, Roshan Abeysinghe and Russell Arnold will share their expert views on the matches from the commentary box. To promote the series Ten Sports have launched a 360 degree marketing campaign �No.1 Test Team is back� encompassing print, outdoor, digital, radio and television.
