Zee Punjabi Event 'Rafi Dilan Da Haani' a Grand Success

Even dense fog, leaving poor visibility all around, couldn't low down the enthusiasm of the audience in Amritsar who made 'Rafi-Dilan Da Haani' a grand success.
Held in Amritsar on the eve of legendary singer Mohd. Rafi's 88th Birth Anniversary on 24th December 2012, its stage set a stage to celebrate the spirit of oneness. Singers and artists from India and Pakistan were invited by Zee Punjabi to bond together and produce a musical synergy 'Saanjh Suran Di'-the theme of the event, this year.

The historical building of Khalsa College was lit up beautifully to serve as a backdrop to the event.  The show opened with a unique, colorful and mesmerizing folk dance performance by renowned 'Dimple Bhangra Entertainers' from Punjab after Mr. Sanjay Vohra, Editor and Business Head extended a warm welcome to the august gathering having Mr. Mayor of Amritsar, Mr. Ram Singh, Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, Mr. Verka Chairman Minority Commission, Principal of Khalsa college Sh. Daljit Singh and who's who of Amritsar.

The location was engulfed by thick fog yet magical spell of Sufi Rock and folk presentation by international Sufi Rock band 'Raga Boyz' hooked the audience to enjoy the performance under the open sky for more than an hour until it was over by 9:00 PM.

"I was not able to see the faces of the audience but it was really great"
said Wali, one of the lead vocalists of the band from Pakistan, "ambience was really magical" he summed up.

Zee Punjabi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalists Mohan and duo performance by DJ Sunny and Ranjit Bawa also added colour to this concert.

The event was intended to convey a message of world peace and love through this cultural platform in the interest of humanity, which it successfully and turned out to be instrumental as it added to reinforce our brand among the viewers.

As the universal saying goes 'music unites' and the effect was clearly visible as not only artists and singers from both the nations but also the audience comprising of who's who of Amritsar, students and foreigners collectively enjoyed the event with the similar spirit.

Reinforcing our image as a channel having concern for its viewers, as the tag line says 'Khabar vi, Khayal vi, we recently did the second edition of 'Zee Punjabi Anhad Sanman' and 'Zee Himachal Shikhar Sanman' to honour the real heroes of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, respectively. These events were overwhelmingly received by the audience across the globe.

Rafi Dilan Da Haani' s theme event 'Saanjh Suran Di' is another link in the chain of the same tradition that shows our concern for the society we inhabit.

So, Once again get set to rock with 'Raga Boyz' and jive with Bhangra beats as the event will roll again on the new year eve only on Zee Punjabi.
