Zee Punjabi launches 'Shabad Guru' for a new Spiritual Experience

Embedded purely in the concept and philosophy of the Guru Granth Sahib 'Shabad Guru' is a new entry to devotional programming on Zee Punjabi.

The concept endorses that each shabad from the Guru Granth Sahib is supposed to be sung the way Sikh Gurus did. Hence 'Shabad Guru' has shabad recital  based on sacred art and science of singing and playing hymns from Shiri Guru Granth Sahib in the prescribed rágas using the original string instruments (Tanti Saaz) of the Sikh court. This instrument is similar to the Rabab, Saranda, Jori, Sarangi, Taus, Dilruba and other instruments. This makes for the USP of this programme as well.

In a nutshell 'Shabad Guru' will be a new devotional platform from where the flow of shabad which is also referred to as Gurbani would definitely help Zee Punjabi viewers to reconnect their heart and soul with the teachings and lives of Great Sikh Gurus and would give a blissful spiritual experience through understanding the shabad how the Guru intended us to.

All the shabad in this programme are recited by UK based renowned Sikh Scholar Prof Surinder Singh and his disciples. He also composed the music of the shabads scheduled for telecast through this show.

So, enjoy the spiritual flow of Gurbani and have a blissful experience through 'Shabad Guru' daily at 6.30 AM and 4.30 PM, from 30th April 2012 onwards, only on Zee Punjabi.
