ZEE runs for a cause at the Mumbai Marathon 2012

Combating morning blues, long distance and the chilling weather, 25 sporty enthusiasts from ZEE made it to the ninth edition of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon - Dream Run this Sunday, January 15, 2012. This year the charity that ZEE team supported was 'Friends of Tribal Society'. Friends of Tribals Society (FTS), a non-government, voluntary organization is committed to the upliftment of tribals and other deprived in rural India, by providing basic education to their children and giving the villagers health care education, development education and empowerment education.

All the participants gathered at the starting point by 8.30 am, post which they were greeted with light breakfast organized by the Admin department,. The Dream Run took off by 9.15am which was an abundance of colors and causes. During the race, team ZEE carried a banner representing 'our brand' and 'our cause'. Participants were provided with T-Shirt, Bib number, goody bag and branded flags. All participants were active throughout the run trying to compete with each other. The run concluded with a group photo.

Over 22,000 Mumbaikars participated in the Dream Run, including over 1,000 corporate houses.

We thank team ZEE for their active participation in the Dream Run and look forward to having a good team of representatives next year as well.

The Dream Run was 6 kms course. The starting and ending point being Azad Maidan.
