ZIMA Mumbai organised yet another high-powered workshop by Ballu Saluja, the famous Bollywood award-winning Editor of Lagaan, Dangal, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani, God Tussi Great Ho, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Mehbooba, Thodi Life Thoda Magic and Jodhaa Akbar amongst others.
Introducing him to a large gathering of students, Mr. Mukesh Mathur, Head - ZIMA showed great pride in depicting that Ballu at the very inception of his career in the early 90s had worked in his production house and how he suddenly diminished to shine like a diamond to spread his light of editing talent in the film industry. Mr. Ballu Saluja also thanked him for all the support provided at the beginning of his career.
Mr. Uday Pani, Senior Production Direction Faculty with ZIMA and a renowned film maker himself praised Mr. Saluja for his contribution to the industry by his fine editing crafts for fims like Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, Swades, Hanan, Prarambh, Aabra Ka Daabra, Pinjar, Bouddi: The Sister-In-Law, Bodhi, Nilkanth Master, Sama, R... Rajkumar, What If, Divana-e-Ishq, Touring Talkies, Tukaram, Hello JaiHind, Yeh Dooriyan, Abhishapt, Musaa: The Most Wanted, What's Your Raashee?, Victory, War or Peace, Corporate Watch (TV Mini-Series documentary), Qatil Haseeno Ka, Jai Shakumbhari Maa, Tom Dick & Harry Returns and so on.
Mr. Mukesh Mathur, earlier presented the book written by Hon'ble Chairman of Essel Group, Dr. Subhash Chandra titled 'The Z Factor - My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time' to Mr. Ballu Saluja. Mr. Saluja thanked Mr. Mathur and ZIMA for the precious gift to him which will inspire him to excel more and more in his career.
Mr. Uday Shankar Pani also felicitated Mr. Saluja with a bouquet. Amongst a huge gathering of students, also present on the occasion were Mr. Harshit Raiachur, Centre Manager, Mr. Rajan Kambli, HOD Production, Ms. Vidya Rajgopal, Senior Counsellor, Mr. Santosh Ghanekar, Mr. Mangesh Lottikar, Mr. Sachin Jadhav and Mr. Vikrant Hajare.
Mr. Ballu Saluja shared the nuances of editing with budding film makers of ZIMA and motivated them to enhance the career with their hard work and determination.
