ZIMA Mumbai had the privilege of hosting Sunil Thapa, a leading Actor, Model, Photo Journalist and Professional Sportsman and above all, President of Everest Film Academy in Kathmandu, Nepal. Sunil has earlier appeared in notable Bollywood and Nepali films and is extremely popular for his villainous roles. His first Bollywood movie Ek Duje Ke Liye became an extremely popular and loved movie and set new box office records.
Mr. Mukesh Mathur, Business Head, ZIMA welcomed him in front of a large audience to showcase and interact with his work and motivate them. Mr. Sunil Thapa was very emotional, when he was presented the book written by Hon'ble Chairman of Essel Group, Dr. Subhash Chandra titled 'The Z Factor - My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time', for whom he has been inspired and motivated by for past many years. Also present on the occasion was Mr. Harshit Raichura, Centre Manager, Mr. Rajan Kambli, Head of Production, Ms. Vidya Rajgopal, Senior Counsellor, Mr. Santosh Ghanekar and Mr. Mangesh Lotlikar.

Mr. Mathur mentioned, how over the years Sunil has showcased his acting skills in more than a hundred films and has made himself a place in the heart of millions of fans. His latest claim to fame has been his co-starrer with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in the famous movie 'Mary Kom' produced by India's leading film producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in which he played an extraordinary role. He was recently awarded the Life Time Achievement Award at the FOG film festival, USA.
Mr. Sunil Thapa had an extremely cordial interaction with ZIMA students with his vast experience nuances of acting filled with his great knowledge of many Indian languages.
Mr. Sunil Thapa, also mentioned about Everest Film Academy located at the heart of Kathmandu, which proudly offers international level courses of one year duration. He expressed his desire for synergies between EFA and ZIMA for more students' programs. He also invited Mr. Mathur and his core team to be guests of EFA.
Mr. Thapa appreciated ZIMA for producing professionals and was deeply impressed with the programs designed for a new generation of storytellers: artistes who share a passion for visual and performing arts across a wide array of media and want to learn by making their own project in hand on intensive program.
Sunil also mentioned as to how the programs of EFA balance the study of the craft with practical experience to trains student to be competent filmmakers and visual artists and performers.
