ZIMA's Connect to Vancouver Film School, Canada

Recently Mr. Diwakar Gandhi, Director, International Strategy & Business Development, Vancouver Film School, Canada paid a visit to India, during which he invited the lead team of Zee Institute of Media Arts, Mumbai to a reception organised by the Canadian Consulate.

Mr. Diwakar Gandhi was accompanied by Vijeyta Khanolkar, Project Manager, International Trade and Investment Office, India, Government of British Columbia, Canada.

Later Mr. Diwakar Gandhi had a very interactive Seminar with ZIMA Head, Mr. Mukesh Mathur and Mr. Rajan Kambli, Head - Production and Faculty of ZIMA during FICCI FRAMES.

Vancouver Film School produces graduate students who impact both industry and culture. In 2016 alone VFS graduates held significant positions in over 100 feature films that grossed over 19 billion US dollars, which represents both tangible economic value and intangible cultural value.

Mr. Mathur emphasized that this impressive international alumni network could definitely be connected back to ZIMA as well as the local film industry with proper incentives. He further added that many students would be thrilled to produce in industry and provide mentorship to students graduating from ZIMA as well as VFS. Such events would be lynchpins in building the 'Industry Park Campus'.

Mr. Diwakar Gandhi was presented a copy of the popular book penned by Honorable Chairman of Esselgroup, Dr. Subhash Chandra titled 'The Z Factor: My Journey as the Wrong Man at a right time.' For which Mr. Gandhi was overwhelmed and expressed his sincere gratitude to the group for this priceless gift to VFS.

Vancouver Film School has expressed a lot of curiosity in evolving business bonds with ZIMA including joint programs, enrolments as well as students' exchange programs with Vancouver Film School in Canada.
